ABOUT
I’m a bass player and teacher from Turku, Finland. I work as a freelance musician with numerous groups in a wide range of genres. I enjoy playing various styles of music with different musicians. As a freelance bass player, I’m constantly learning new stuff and developing my playing.
Groove with style, taste and precision
I’ve been gigging actively since 2010 and worked my way up to be a desirable bass player for many musical situations. My main instruments are electric bass and synth bass, and I play some upright bass, too. Versatile and reliable are the right words to describe me as a musician.
Educated musician and teacher
My musical inspiration and influences come from pop, rock, and jazz music, especially funk and soul. I enjoy improvising and I’m also a good reader. I’ve studied bass guitar at the Turku Conservatory of Music (Musician) and educational sciences at the University of Turku (Master of Arts, Education).
I’ve been teaching bass since 2014. I work as a part-time teacher at the Turku Conservatory and Institute of Music and at Puolalanmäki Upper Secondary School. I also offer private bass lessons.
